As a Systems Engineer, you will join our team on a journey to help eliminate barriers for patients, increase their access to medications, and help them receive lifesaving treatments while working in an environment that nurtures you. As a part of the infrastructure group you will help shape the core technologies used at TrialCard. The role will have a primary focus on project work, with escalation from other teams as needed. This is a fast pace environment with new challenges and technologies added to the mix daily. Team work and communication are key to be successful in this position.


  • Design, implement, and manage our multi-cloud/on-prem infrastructure production and non-production systems to provide a scalable environment meeting internal customer needs
  • Responsible for technical administration, engineering and support of TrialCard information systems, enterprise applications and infrastructure
  • Ensures timely system maintenance, participates in the planning and implementation of major software and hardware upgrades
  • Configures, installs, maintains, applies patches/fixes and troubleshoots physical and logical tiers of applications/software/systems both on prem and cloud hosted
  • Assists with conceptualization, design and set up of systems architecture and its various components
  • Help define infrastructure team cloud strategy, incorporating consolidation of multiple cloud environments to improve synergies
  • Participates in capacity planning, workload modeling and prediction of resource needs.
  • Provides direct support for the planning, provisioning, and implementation of systems and software maintaining reliable, secure, and highly available resources in our cloud environments, using a build-for-cloud strategic approach when applicable.
  • Ensures that change management procedures and methodologies are implemented and followed.
  • Participate in on call rotation, including off hours maintenance tasks as needed.


  • Strong project management and interpersonal skills; able to deal effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities, provide strong team leadership, and work effectively as a team player.
  • Highly organized with a proven ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, manage several complex projects at one time, and utilize time effectively for staff and self.
  • Experience with F5 or equivalent load balancers
  • Must be security minded in design and implementation of new initiatives
  • Executes all job responsibilities and assignments promptly, reliably, honestly, and ethically.
  • Competent with mainstream office automation, project management, and communications tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with PowerPoint and Visio for workflow architectural diagrams.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and willing to take initiative on multiple company projects.
  • Ability to work in a team and provide assistance and training for co-workers and end users.
  • Experience maintaining Windows 2008, 2012, 2016 and/or 2019 servers.
  • Experience in Azure and/or AWS
  • Experience designing/setup and configuration Cisco UCS, Okta, ServiceNow, Duo, Slack and Office 365
  • Experience designing/setup and configuration VMware vSphere Virtual Environments including Horizon.
  • Experience designing/setup and configuration of Netapp storage systems
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containerization, Cloud orchestration tools is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Linux is preferred, but not required.
  • Relevant certifications (MCSE, CCNA, VCP, Exchange, Windows Server, etc.) are preferred but not required.
  • Expertise with a variety of server/systems monitoring, analysis, management, and configuration tools.
  • 3 years Microsoft enterprise Desktop environment experience
  • Experience with backup client/server software including Commvault
  • Advanced scripting skills
