As a Director of Infrastructure, you will join our team on a journey to help eliminate barriers for patients, increase their access to medications, and help them receive lifesaving treatments while working in an environment that nurtures you. Leading a group of engineers and administrators you will represent TrialCard’s infrastructure to the wider IT and business audience. Working to ensure a highly stable environment that meets the demands of our customers and allows for rapid growth.



  • Oversee all enterprise datacenter operations to ensure highest possible up time.
  • Manage IT Infrastructure staff, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
  • Responsible for establishing standard hardware lifecycle methodologies.
  • Manage team to efficiently complete project work.
  • Oversees the maintenance of server and storage systems, firewalls, switches, routers and WAN connections utilizing industry best practices to meet corporate objectives.
  • Review performance of IT systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements.
  • Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT systems.
  • Monitor technology trends and evaluate emerging technologies for adoption and implementation.
  • In coordination with IT Management help lead the implementation IT policies and procedures, including those for security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
  • Define and communicate technology roadmap, milestones, service level agreements related to all infrastructure, data center and telephony technologies.
  • Working with VP of IT Operations and other IT Management create bid requirements for software/hardware upgrades.
  • Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all infrastructure requirements based on department needs.
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT infrastructure activities.
  • Direct research on potential technology solutions and implementations in support of new initiatives, opportunities, and procurement efforts.
  • Any other tasks or projects as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Strong understanding of high availability service and web application datacenter architecture
  • Experience leading design of technical solutions
  • Experience with following technologies: NetApp, Cisco UCCE, Cisco UCS, Cisco ACI, SDWAN, Windows Infrastructure, Kubernetes, Azure, VMware Horizon, and Zerto preferred
  • Ability to rapidly prototype and deliver new solutions

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Systems, Security, Network and Telecommunications Engineering Teams
  • Systems and Network Administrator Teams
  • DevOps administrator team



  • University degree in the technical field and 7+ years related work experience. Master’s degree in either of these fields or Master of Business Administration with technology as a core component preferred.
  • PMP Certifications a plus.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing and/or directing an IT infrastructure operation.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning and development, project management, and policy development.
  • Advanced understanding and technical knowledge of current network and PC operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards.
  • Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through day-to-day management.
  • Knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business operations.
  • Superior understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
