We are seeking a Sr. Manager of Instructional Design and Learning to join our Talent Management team. The Sr. Manager will play a critical role in the building of TrialCard’s training programs, and is responsible for instructional design, content development, program management and VILT facilitation.

 

Responsibilities

The Sr. Manager will drive the development and implementation of new training programs and collaborates closely with TrialCard departments to create and sustain compelling training and development programs for both internal and external customers.  This position will also be responsible for managing the Sr. LMS Administrator/ISD Coordinator and LMS/eLearning Assistant. The Sr. Manager will continuously improve, relentlessly pursue excellence, keep project trackers and records up to date, and collaborate with Talent Development team and other business partners.

 

In this role you will be creating engaging and effective learning and development curricula and materials for both live and asynchronous learning. You will design and develop innovative, interactive L&D courses – from concept through implementation – to build internal talent pipelines and enable internal mobility at TrialCard.

This individual will work independently on high impact projects and partner with the Dir of Talent Management on digitizing client training program.

  • Performs managerial tasks to ensure the success of the Sr. LMS Administrator, and LMS/eLearning Assistant.
  • Conducts current state assessment, gap analysis, and root cause analysis of workflow, quality, and training gaps.
  • Performs critical task analysis and interprets critical task analyses conducted by others.
  • Creates and regularly updates project plan(s) including managing details and keeping multiple tasks/projects on task. Regularly monitors and tracks progress on work projects.
  • Creates and edits scripts, job aids, and storyboards.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and peers to design, create/develop, and evaluate content.
  • Creates assessments that measure learning and/or performance outcomes.
  • Applies consistent approach to instructional design (ADDIE, SAM, etc.)
  • Work with the Director of Talent Management to build client and internal programs for continuous development at TrialCard.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred (Learning & Development, Adult Education Instructional Technology)
  • Managerial experience and “manager as coach” skills
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud, Articulate/Captivate and/or Camtasia or other authoring tools.
  • Minimum 4 + years of experience in needs analysis, instructional or curriculum design, training, education, or technical writing for training material
  • Experienced with eLearning content development and interviewing subject-matter-experts (SMEs)
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems
  • Knowledge of the instructional design process from conception through implementation, including defining learning objectives, scoping a project, scripting, storyboarding, building content, testing, debuting, and iterating content.
  • Comfortable presenting in front of large groups and to technical and executive level management.
  • Proficient working both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, multi-tasking high performance team
  • Basic knowledge of Smartsheet or other similar project planning tool, or ability to quickly learn similar tool.
  • Ability to provide recommendations on optimal modality based on content (video, interactive eLearning module, quick reference guide).
  • Ability to leverage an LMS and SCORM Cloud to test SCORM files and upload them to LMS/LXP, or ability to quickly learn how to do so.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure and competing deadlines.
  • Passionate about instructional design, technology, and L&D.
