Role Overview
We are currently seeking qualified, highly motivated, and experienced individuals to join our team as Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) to help our client’s customers overcome access barriers. Our client is a healthcare leader whose mission reflects their commitment to improving the lives of their patients. The FRM will provide reimbursement and program-related education to internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to health care providers (HCPs) and the manufacturer‘s field representatives within their assigned region. Successful candidates will have strong reimbursement backgrounds with expertise in navigating insurance and access related barriers.
· Solve complex patient access issues by working across the hub, provider offices and communicating with client field team · Partner with client field team and HCP to create and drive strategic reimbursement support approaches, resulting in increased access to therapy for individual patients · Educate HCP and Office Staff on Patient Support Programs, per patient-specific operating policies and patient journey · Lead HCP offices in virtual and/or on-site education of program business rules, payer coverage, and other reimbursement-related activities · Manage daily activities that support appropriate patient access to the client’s product(s) across relevant sites of care to work as an extension of the HUB reimbursement support services offered to providers · Review patient benefit options, prior authorization requirements, and alternate funding/financial assistance programs · Assist with resolving reimbursement issues, and help ensure appropriate education to avoid future reimbursement hurdles · Coordinate with client’s patient support services programs representatives on patient cases and claim issues · Educate office staff on the use of client’s patient assistance and reimbursement support services, including but not limited to web-based provider programs and tools, and provide information on relevant reimbursement topics related to client product · Conduct surveillance across regional payers to ensure appropriate coding, coverage and payment of client’s products · Work collaboratively with client Market Access team to escalate potential payer issues; understand and monitor national and regional payer trends and changes. · Operate in compliance with HIPAA within program guidelines |
Required Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in related field · 3+ years reimbursement/access experience · 8+ years in pharmaceutical/health industry working with hubs, payers, HCPs or related area · Specialty pharmaceutical experience · Strong relationship-building skills · Strong payer knowledge including public and private payers, foundational knowledge of benefit verifications and prior authorization/pre-determination requirement and knowledge of reimbursement processes · Valid Driver’s License required · Up to 50% travel required Preferred Qualifications · Previous FRM experience · Nephrology experience · Salesforce experience · Experience in managing access complexities associated with a new to market medication · Reside within designated territory or within reasonable distance from national or regional airport · Strong presentation skills Why Work for Trialcard?
